I've just heard from Camilla, Rybes other half to say that he's had a serious bike accident.
He smashed into a car. Luckily he was off the bike before it hit the tree!!
He's shattered a leg, broken his right arm in two places and nearly ripped a thumb off. He's just undergone ten hours of surgery and he's back in recovery now and doing ok.
Having seen the photo's of his bike, I'd say he was very lucky.
It's going to be a long road to full recovery, but he's a fighter and I'm sure he'll be ok.
If you see this Rybes...Get well soon mate.

I think 10w should be fine ;)

If you want to "Stiffen" the front end up go heavier...Maybe 15w.

Now this is just an idea that flitted past the back of my eyeballs and through the brain cell at great speed like a dying photon.....
What about doing a "Metal" weekend at Butlins....
I know a few of you probably just scoffed at the idea, but....
My mate kept on at me to go to one back in February at Minehead.
It cost peanuts, you get accommodation of choice, Loud Bands in different bars and venues all weekend, places to buy food, places to wash, and lots of leather and denim etc, and biker looking chicks all over the place.
And they are expecting biker types.
I had to take my missus, and she was fed up by the end of the second night, as she isn't really a metal fan, and therefore she dragged me down a bit with the old... "I'm tired" "No I don't want another drink" "What time are we leaving tomorrow?" etc etc. So I ended up back in the room most nights by about 1030 drinking whisky.
I just looked at the prices for 3 nights starting 26th January at Minehead (The only venue to do Giants of rock) 2018. And it starts at £194 for 2 people sharing a room for 3 nights (less than £100 each) Which isn't bad.

I'm not sure if any of you are interested in that sort of thing, but it would save getting a camping venue, or carrying camping gear on your bike, or sorting out music.
Carl and missus wouldn't have to cook breakfast on the morning for everyone, as we could wander up to the wetherspoons. And no one would have to do any real organising other than the date.
I got a feeling that 2018 is selling out fast, but we could look at January 2019? or if people aren't that fussed if they listen to Giants of rock, or whether they would be happy with 80s or 90s or Bootleg, there are other weekends at skegness or bognor regis. Or maybe someone knows if other resorts do something?
Anyway, just an idea..... you can Boo me down if you like or Cheer if you are interested.
I won't be going with the missus again, but I wouldn't mind going with you lot and having a laugh.

I can't help with the starter clutch issues Sheps, but I'm glad he got the bike back.
Bike theft has reached epidemic proportions now, especially in London >:(
Bristol seems to have quietened down a bit, but there were two attempted bike jackings in the city last week.

Getting hitched Fri 25 Aug in Newport and then flying out to Spain for three weeks early hours on the 26th.
It's been manic here trying to get everything sorted out.
I'm also waiting for a new left hip joint as mine is totally buggered. Hopefully I'll be going in to have it done sometime before the end of the year.
