Doh forgot I made a mistake n had to rectify it. Orange/yellow doesnt get connected to gixer cdi pack. Doesnt get connected at all. Its the newer models cdi earth connection through that pesky little 100ohm resister in the ignition barrel as an anti theft device. Dont connect it to anything on gixer cdi!

Sorry just remembered that diagram was before I realised the cock up n changed it.:big grin:

If get stuck can update the original n email you it. TBH tho most of pin connections and wire colours throughout bandit/gixer range are the same. Just newer/older models that are soooo different hence my problem.

Got a diagram done up with full pin listings n wire colours bud as had to sit n work it all out. If going other way about forget about the TPS, etc is best bet. Will still run fine. Got diagram on file if need it tho. Took me a bit of headscratching to figure out. lol.

Jon you been a busy boy and the bandit looks real nice, just about to start a b6/750 swap me self, sooooooo i was wondering if i could have a copy of your cdi wiring diagram and save meself a bit o head scratchin. I`m really lookin forward to the finished article, keep up the good work.

Cheers guys. Reckon its coming on well like. Be a mad looking n quick machine when done. Totally impractical given where I live is a remote scottish island with next to nowt but twisty rollercoaster mountain tracks, but got the Harris there for corner stuff.

Wont stop me using it anyway for shopping/touring, etc. More reason to build it in my opinion, just cos it`ll be sooo mad on the roads round ere.:big grin:

Nother wee bitty this afternoon.

With the busa rear wheel polished up I masked up centre n sprayed it 2K primer n black gloss ready for airbrusing up:-

While doing that decided to spray nother few random bits while everything set up, etc.

Got front lights apart with a grinder n drill as welded together with rust. lol. Poured the rust out of the shells so they dont rattle any more. Doh! lol.

Gave the shells a quick spray up:-

Also did the rear brake disc centre:-

Nowt fancy just clean n black n shiny. lol. All parts that are mostly gonna be shrouded, but want em neat anyway. lol.

Filed off all the buggered brackets on the egay rs turbo intercooler. Good degrease, etc n ends came up shiny black plastic so just masked off the alloy centre n gave that a tidy up. Also straightened up few dents n bends. lol :-

Had a quick slice with jigsaw at crash damaged helmet Im gonna use as nose fairing:-

Dont look too bad lined up to bike n know dominator lights fit in behind visor. Cant get better idea of shape, etc till have the headlights solid mounted on some one-off brackets on front, but thats on the list to do soon.

Sod all to report today really as finishing off comission helmet to post tomorrow. lol. Its a xmas present for someone so been full bore at it. Started it Monday with a blank lid n ready to post (thursday afternoon). Up to post office early in morning for me. Should get there in time tho.

Stripped tape off intercooler while munching lunch n cleaned up plastic end caps. Looks pretty good for something that`ll be hidden. lol.

Sat this evening n cleaned up lights n got bits back together. Little clips drove me mad slightly more than usual. You`d need carnie hands to make that job easy. lol. Bulbs were blown, but had couple in shed which was handy.

Got in about lenses n reflectors with cotton buds n got the rust staining off from outside n inside edges as looked shit.

Not too bad n ready to bolt on when make brackets.

Got wheel airbrushed up n clear coated today:-

I`ll get edges sliced clean with scalpel tomorrow once hardened a bit n get the tape off n rim re-polished, etc, etc.

Should look good tho with that fat polished alloy rim either side.

Need to scrub up disc/sprocket/carrier, etc too. Keep chipping away at it. lol
