Gabriel Jesus’ injury leaved Arsenal with mixed feelings

After missing early games against Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace due to a knee injury, the 26-year-old has only started four of Arsenal’s 12 Premier League games this season.

Jesus sustained a knee injury during the 2022 World Cup that kept him out of action for three months of the previous season. A recurrence of the same issue also kept Jesus out of action for the whole of August.

Nevertheless, Brazil’s manager Fernando Diniz decided that Jesus was well enough to be called up for Brazil’s forthcoming World Cup qualifying matches, despite the fact that he hasn’t been able to play for Arsenal.
