Number plate recognition
Got my final year project title today, ive got to design a number plate recognition system, its a prototype development using a line scanning camera! What the hell a line scanning camera is i dont know! But you all better watch yourselves, they just might use my ideas for speed cameras!

ANPR systems are fitted to a few patrol vehicles and speed camera's already use em to nicely automate the removal of three points and £60 from citizens wallet.

Re: Number plate recognition
Had a meeting yesterday with my project tutor, and the camera i am using is something thats never been used before, and saw the prototype yesterday that i will be working with. Better be careful with it! lol Project is also industry based, so my project is based on a real company problem that they want sorting, thatll be me doing the sorting bit!

Re: Number plate recognition
Im doing a BEng in digital communications and electronics, in my 3rd year now. It seems like one of the more interesting projects handed out, some people have had thier throats cut going by some of the titles ive seen and some people are definately not happy. But thats thier problem, not mine
