Down and out.

Post by UK II Kazawacky »

Well, it finally happened, me and my bike are invalids.

Got taken off at a set of traffic lights by a car who decided to turn in front of me. My bike is a write-off, the whole front end has been stoved in by the car's passenger-side door. I've suffered a broken arm and fractured wrist, stitches in my nose and bottom lip and severe bruising on and around my face and neck.

Bad times :smt009 :smt010

Cheers for the comments lads, i'm mending slowly, even if i am bored to death sitting at home.

my dad's picking the bike up in a couple of days, i'll put a pic up of it when i can.

I was wearing an AGV Stealth, 5 star S.H.A.R.P. rating, when i saw it in hospital (i'd blacked out so don't remember the crash very well) it had no visor and there were a couple of scratches to the front. I don't know if it came off or not

Hope you recover well and get the bike sorted quickly...

I use an AGV Stealth, and my first impression of it was that the chin/nose part was much closer to my soft bits than the Shoei I had before it. A bit worrying to hear my thoughts on this confirmed, but I guess it doesn't necessarily mean an AGV Stealth will stop faceplant injuries any worse or better than other helmets. I think with most lids a face-on impact is going to cause problems if it's hard enough.

Glad it wasn't worse for you!
