i have had my zxr for a number of years now and dont use it as much as i would like to. however i would like to start doing some track days with it and thought i would take off as much of the stuff that i dont need as i can.
so does anyone know what i can take off so it just passes a daylight mot, and would be ideal on a track.
cheers

It seems a horn, brake light and reg plate are all you need

Re: daylight running mot
to be honest with you i had a ar50 a few years back and the electrics started playin up so i took every light etc off and no horn but it still passed the daytime mot, i always used to get pulled and told my bike was illegal but one day the old bill went to the testing station and the mot tester put them right and stuck his mot book in there face,
i saw another situation the same on police camera action when they pulled a trackday bike with a daytime mot and thought he was illegal coz of no lights, by the time the w****ers realised they were actually wrong it was dark and the blok had to get his bike picked up!!

Re: daylight running mot
I just had a horn and numberplate fitted on mine ..
was told that if you have a brake light you need the other lights.
also, there's NO SUCH THING as a "daytime mot" or however you want to put it .. its a normal everyday MOT with a shitload of advisories for missing bits that means the bike is not legal for use on a public road during times of reduced visibility.. if its dark/heavily overcast/foggy/raining etc you're illegal (much like a dark tint visor come to think about it)

Re: daylight running mot
Yep, you get a yellow advisory sheet detailing the missing bits and to the extent that you can only use it in clear light
