Hi Folks.

Sold my zxr about 6 months ago and bought a gsxr 600 K2. Must say I'm missing the character of the baby kwak :smt009

Feels like it's computer controlled, everything just works no drama. While in theory this is the perfect bike, you would need to ride at silly speeds to have any fun!

Thinking of a kwak 636, has anyone got one/ridden one?

I'm sort of after something as close to the zxr, but with more poke!

My only prerequisite really is fuel injection, couldn't go back to having a carbed bike!

I had an '05 636 - fun, but again, silly speeds to really have fun.
then swopped it in for a 2007 ZX6R, which is nice, but again, same issue, but without the low down power of the 636

So I got a 2009 ER6N (and kept the ZX6R)

I know, I know, naked bike, not so racy - but try one at your local dealership. It's fun.

More torquey than the 400, but I'd say just as quick round corners, but with some more poke out of corners - that is, after you've set up your suspension. If you haven't, it results in some funny, but trouser-pooping sideways action, which in my head looked like this:

but probably didn't look anything like it.

They race them against 400cc 4 cylinder bikes, so I thought it was a natural progression as I wanted a ZXR but at the same time wanted a NEW toy.

Tyres same size as the 400 (so cheaper than gixxer tyres), tops out about the same, but at the same time, those higher bars lend themselves to more controlled /balanced stoppies and wheelies. Low seat height means it's impossible to actually drop it when the aforementioned trick goes a bit wrong. (you can put BOTH feet on the ground) And the whole riding style of the bike lends itself to right angles through traffic ques and u-turns on a sixpence. Those B roads that hurt your ass/wrists on a sportsbike are now a winding strip of wonder as the er6 blats its way through the countryside, but you might want to stay off motorways. Might. Gets a bit windy.

Drag races at the lights so far have disgraced 1996-9 fireblades, all BMW Tourers / Dual sports I have come across and also a fat bastid on a 1999 R6 on nearly a daily basis, and we both smile when at the lights, cos he wanted one for his missus, but now wants it for himself. Lol. Even wheelied / outblatted a KTM Duke 2 in some country lanes, which made me smile, cos I was dead set on one of them for a while.

And everything else in the wet cos they are all scared. Lol. God bless that 46T rear sprocket. (That's massive compared to what's on the ninja, by the way)

I love my ER6N, it has brought me back to being a psycho biker again, the underdog taking on all the other traffic on the road. RAA!!!
