i have just replaced my inlet rubbers due to them leeking air and i just fired her up and there was a funny smell and now there is a knocking noise coming from the head
please could any one help

have you dropped something into the engine by accident when changing the rubbers?!

need a bit more info.........definatly didnt drop anything ye?everything bolted down ok?does the bike start and run ok?

i dont think i have dropped any thing in there i will take it apart an have a look.
would that do a lot of damage
its starts on the choke but when i turn choke off it just shudders and stalls
and loud knocking when running
and all bolts are as tight as they can be

have you got the air filter on the right way round / cleaned and fresh, etc..?

You may laugh, but I had similar symptoms after doing mine, and I had managed to put the foam filter on wrong way round and not let it dry out enough.

so I stuck a K & N on there. Sorted.
