Flippin Winter boots

Most days I wear my ELF racing boots on the bike but with the colder weather now in it gets a bit chilly !
Last weekends short tour I found myself putting in some chemical heat pads around my toes (specific made) and that was just so comfortable riding back home again
So the other day I decides to start wearing my Winter boots , they have a type of commando sole on them , gussets up the Tongue and are Goretex lined - very toasty
Thing is the freakin soles keep snatching on the rearsets when I go to put my foot down and have just about come a cropper on numerous occasions - thankfully getting my feet freed up in time before the bike topples !
So they are back in the cupboard and the heat pads are back out
Now i know why the race boots have pretty much no grip on their soles , doh!
So be wary what foot wear you choose to use on your bike , just might save you from an embarrassing moment !
MM!
