You may well know that the bike was suffering from clutch slip once it hit 10K rev's.
Well, new frictions went in and everything has been dandy
With the colder weather coming in I've felt the jetting needing done on the carb's , haven't been in a rush to do as only shows up in 4,5 & 6th way up the rev range.
But, I was doing other stuff so needed to have the tank and carb's off so thought i would fettle them at the same time.
Everything built back up and off i go.
Bottom end sooooo much crisper and power kicking in at 8K feels
Get myself out onto some open roads and gives it big licks - regardless of gear or what rev's i crack it open at as soon as it hits 10K clutch spin
in the lower gears it happens at the 8K mark just as the big surge kicks in
If I back off it kicks in again and can go up through the gears at 3/4 throttle - the jetting is sorted
Even sitting at a ton in top and crack it on it will start slipping the bloody clutch ! So, I've got another complete assembly and will shove that in and see where i go from that .......
to be continued
