OMG! I'm very annoyed with bike insurance at the moment! Its getting like car insurance as each year goes by there's always something that I cant get that I've had before on a policy.

Been riding for 4 years now and had a crash last year before xmas. Now I know that the price will go up that's inevitable, however now I cant ride any other bikes on a policy due to my age as I'm not over 25.

Now this would be perfectly fine but for the last 4years of riding I have been able to ride other bikes, so it can not be because of my age. Bennetts pass off this excuse saying aswell that as my bike was 2cc under 400 that I was not consider to ride other bikes! I wish Insurers would just be a little honest and not make up some bull.

They take the biscuit to be fair!! I've never been able to ride others bikes on my policy as i'm apparently "too young" (24) and because I'm a mechanic (car mechanic)! What a load of tosh!! All the renewal's I've had have always been more expensive than the previous year as well, and I'm not talking £10-£20, more like £150-£200 more!! Yet when I've phoned them, they've been able to knock atleast £200 off?? WTF MAN!!

as far as i know bennetts don't let you ride any other bike whatever your age.Carole nash all the way guys can't be beaten and if they can then go back to them, my renewal came through at £285 fully comp got them down to £113 fully comp, inc riding other bikes, full legal cover, and full european breakdown and a staggering £100 excess.

you know bennetts and carole nash are just brokers, right? just because you had it on a previous policy with one company doesn't mean you'll get the same company again when you start a new policy.

Yeah I know that but when both brokers Carole Nash and Bennetts are saying that Red Star Equity would insure us - Bennetts say that I cant ride other bikes and Carole Nash say that I can!!!!!! Explain that one then lol

Well I got my renewal through and its £283 all the normal stuff on the policy and I can ride other bikes not the greatest but with Carole Nash if my claim goes my way then I get my 4years NCB back and they say that they will reimburse me (probably a fiver lol )
