This year as some of you know I tried to drive to Mongolia in a 1993 VW Polo 1.0L. It died 600km from the Mongolian border. My mate and I managed to hitch to the first Mongolian town (large village) and bought a pair of old Russian 350cc bikes! The plan was to get to UB by Bike but sadly my mates bike died about 70km into our adventure! He loaded it onto a passing truck til the town and I drove alongside (well, a bit infront dicking around!). It was epic though whilst it lasted and I fancy one of these Russian machines (which are built in the same factory as the AK47 was)back home!

Had an epic time. The bikes are 350cc IZH Planeta 5's. I really want to get one for the UK! Appararntly they're made in the same factory the AK47 was

Also got to shoot an RPG in Mongolia at a car which was pretty awesome :smt003

...and an AK47

nice, have plans to do the mongol rally at some stage. dunno whether to do the 1.2l car or 125cc bike, 8000?kms would be pretty tough on a 125
could at least take shifts in the car
