Just finished putting my L5 together after sitting in the shed since 2002 in pieces and have that bit left over.

I have found it listed on the microfiche in the carbs section, only one is fitted, but i cant see where it goes.

Any ideas?

PS Wish me luck MOT next Saturday.

guessing at a cable/pipe retainer....... probaly

I think from memory that it retains the throttle cables where they sit in the cradle at the carbs - not sure tho as I have done away with the throttle return cable but iirc thats where it goes

Think your right Dave I have a vague memory of removing it and dropping it in a bin

iirc its a part to do with the throttle cables.

for the L model, microfishe doesnt really show what its for so maybe now the throttle cables as i first thought. This has been asked before about this part tho.

Sussed it, it clips around the throttle cables where they fit to the carbs and locks them in place.
