Hoof ! You could have almost flown me over & I would have done it for you at that price
Camchain life is a bit like " How long is a piece of string "
Imersed in clean oil and not stressed it should really go for ever , but considering time and fatique you should change every 10yrs regardless.
I am fairly heavy handed with my bikes

an average around the 30K miles for a chain , tensioner blades never look to bad but I change the whole lot including the tensioner as a complete job. A bit like changing the cam belt on your car - false economy not to replace the pully on it ! Dropped valves in a car are not nice !!
So it's good to see them doing the same thing
Chances of parts failing these days is very thin so unless your doing over 30K miles a year your guarentee is for labour only.
Have they said they are going to check/adjust shims too ? Having the rocker cover off to do this job your best getting this seen to as well.
240 labour equates to 10hrs work unless they are charging double that so your still at 5hrs which is more than plenty for a chain swap on these bikes.
Parts, I would use and cost here, Camchain , 3 blades , 2 x O rings , tensioner body & spring = 130.12 GBP
They would buy that lot at trade for a max of 123.60 GBP cause when you add the standard 30% retail it jumps to 168.68 - most likely they are getting it cheaper and are adding upto 50%
Be good if you list all the new parts exactly and someone prices else where as a comparison but looks to me they are OK on parts but hitting you with labour charge.
MM!
PS. I have had my GPz6 sounding like a skeleton having a skunk in a biscuit tin before and it still ran fine - what can happen is the slack gets caught up at the bottom end and you seize the cams or the chain jumps a tooth or two on the sprockets and you bend valves - engine blowing up mmmmmmmmmm.
