right you lot listen up
ahem
myself and my mate Darin (from Diffr'nt strokers (stinking two strokes) Web site ) have had enough ,after all of the track days we have been on there seems to be very little for us lot with classic bikes (yes the zxr400 is one of them ) to run them on track with like minded bikes and folks ,the normal track days usually involve nothing more than modern missiles up your chuff or a£2.50 knackered cbr600 shoving it up the inside of you with out a care in the worl for you and your baby
so this is what we have done
look at
www.classicbiketrackdays.com all are welcome ,the do at cadwell is also with practical sports bike .
so dust em of ,get in the garage and fix them and join us on track
cheers rob

It's a great idea and I hope it goes well!
Having just used a big heavy ZX9R on track for the first time, on hard sports-touring tyres with warped brake discs, I can say that I wasn't hanging around but still never came close to coming a cropper! I wish I'd done some trackdays on my 400... I still can't believe I rode for 10 years before doing my first trackday!
You ALL should give it a go to see how -ing awesome and addictive it is!!!

Rob,
Is there going to be spectating at the Cadwell do? I've started buying Practical Sportsbike mag (fantastic read, best bike mag ever) and was well impressed by the trackday idea for modern classics. Unfortunately I'm on nights that week so can't get to ride but I might pop over for a watch during the day and to have a look at what should be an awsome collection of real sportsbikes, rather than the computer controlled crap currently being churned out by the out of touch factories.
Well done for this initiative. Might even give one a go sometime, as long as the head cases aren't welcome. Don't fancy some numpty totalling my road bike for me.

thats the idea ,there are too many loons out there and we just want to keep it on the level ,some folks want to ride and see the tracks and the fast folk will be well aware of the otheres out there its about abit of respect for each other and their bikes ,there really is some nice stuff coming , we are not charging for speccy taters so come and watch

If anyone else is going to spectate perhaps they could shout up on here? I realise any previous sort of organised Forum meets have sort of fizzled out like a campfire in a monsoon but maybe this sort of informal 'drop by if you feel like it' might tease a few ZXRs out.

well i will be at the track the evening before ,perhaps have a bbq and get to meet some of the others camping over .It would be great if people came over for the day as we would like a social meetng to develop around these do,s instead of everyone just being behind a key board
so come on you lot come and say hello and see what we do
cheers rob
