Hi Chaps,

Just after some advice really, I have been getting a friends ZXR400 running for him to sell.

He had a ski-ing accident and wont ride it again due to his injuries, it is a N reg, totally original, 9000 miles on it, it has never been dropped.

I have cleaned carbs out and it has a new battery.

It needs a MOT but everything works fine.

Not sure what to put it up for, or am I better to get it MOT'd, if so what shall I put it up for??

I want to try and get as much as I can as he needs all the money he can get.

I have pictures I can e-mail out, but it looks exactley the same as one in the picture at the top of the forum.

from a buyers point of view, i would want it MOT'd. Although it doesnt really mean alot in terms of the engine, but an MOT to some degree gives a bit of reassurance that its at least safe to ride. So i would say get it done. Its not that much to get done and if it fails you will at least have some idea of what needs doing if you sell as is. If it passes then i can only imagine it adds a bit of value to the bike.

Ebay prices are going anywhere in between 800 to 1200. If its in that good a condition then i certainly wouldnt let it go for less than 1k. Get some pics up, it helps.

Looks really nice! Didnt realise he had it from new and was such low mileage! Very nice
