why do people put sweat bands on there brake fluid pots?

im doin it 2day anyway lol

the MotoGP stars have it to stop fluid leaking over eveything i was told. But i think its more of a show off thing.

Stops brake fluid boiling and going in your face and paint work.

i thought so too (racers in general not just motogp) but i'm sure one of the bikes in the last motogp didn't (might have been the suzuki parrish was riding beforehand?)

makes sense, although you would have thought with all that engineering expertise they could develop one which didn't leak :smt002

I heard that some sweat bands have been known to increase the performance of the bike. :smt003

sounds abit daft to do it on the street, first iv ever heard of it.
Remember speed kills, so does smoking, drinking, drugs, fast food and many more good things

Would have thought if anything it would have made it hotter by keeping it insulated?

Perhaps a slight exaggeration... 'A leak from the top' would've sufficed as it changes viscosity when warm.

Apparently the sweat bands also give you an extra 5bhp.
