Got the zxr done for now, ie. it rides again, I have got this little rear light on it that does the works. Now I want to remove the original rear light. I still want an ermax undertray to complete the lines but no longer like the 'twin red arsehole lights' it comes with.
So people I want suggestions on how to fill the hole left by the old light once its gone. have thought of fiberglass or something, and mesh with body filler on it, any other ideas?
Also though race rear fiarings but cant find any and don't like the single seat culture

'twin red arsehole lights'
 sems of stuck that doesnt it?
So, you getting rid of the rear brake light and then filling it? I take it the number plate light also doubles up as a brake light?
I dont know of any plastic inserts that could go in place of the rear light so I think mesh and fibreglass is gonna be your best bet, but you would need to do each half seperately or you wont be able to split the seat fairings. Well you will still be able to take them off but only both at the same time, and then you might break the filling.

yes it does
Number plate (looks ace in the dark)
Tail and stop
need to bung a reflector into the mix somewhere but I'll worry about that later. Completely agree on the needing to do each side individually.
Has anyone succesfully plastic welded the zxr fairings? I tried to warm and melt the side panel I cracked, (long story) but it wasn't the right type of plastic as far as I could see

I can't remember how the rear light is attached, but could you get hold of a sheet of black acrylic (or similar) and knock up some suitable spacers so it bolted on in place of the light and sat conveniently in the hole in the fairing.
elegant and doesn't involve mashing your fairings (so you could put it back to stock if you felt the need.

for the reflector you can buy some that are about the size of a 50p, stick it on the number plate and that will get you through no problems, thats what i did.
The rear brake light bolts onto a frame attatched to the sub-frame, thats quite a good idea if you can get the lot to fit together right

why the hell do you need a reflector for the mot? you put a small reflector on about the size of a 10p and the bike passes, can't the y see the great 9x7 numberplate? its reflective aint it???

its not actually a clear light lol, what I've done is marked the fairing lines on the rear lense, cut the lense down, and used some black sheet and silver styling mesh PK screwed into the lense
