Hi All,

Just wondering if it is possible to get bar risers for the ZXR400?

I'm looking to buy a L9 model but would benefit from the bars being a little higher given my short stature and little arms!!

Does any one have any idea if it is possible to get hold of bar risers to fit the bike and if so where can i get them from?

Many thanks for your help

Lucie

you can get risers to fit sportsbikes but bear in mind you will almost certainly have to chop the top fairing to clear the bars.
you have several options, you can drill your existing yoke and fit std risers available everywhere, ebay, demon-tweeks, busters etc.

you can try and get a replacement yoke thats made for risers, or you can get some risers with clamps that fit on the forks.

It sounds like a lot of hassle. You might try loosening the handle bars and making sure they are as far back as they go, and then tighten them up again.
Might make 1 cm difference!

i'd guess what lucie had in mind was probably raised clip ons rather than a one piece/clamped bar (as in the pictures in baz's post).

here's some for an sv650:

if you could find some to fit the zxr forks then it would be a pretty easy bolt on (although as said above, clearance to the fairing on full lock might be an issue).

SV ones obviously wont fit as they have RWU forks, but if you measured the ZXR fork tube diameter and then found what else has the same diameter then you would have a few more options.

Just do what my instructor told me, oh so many years ago...

PUSH YOUR BEAVER INTO THE TANK, GIRL.

he he. It works, you know.

Surely theres better things to push your beaver into than the petrol tank?
