Hi All,
Anyone know if there's a track day for 400's or any that are limited up to 600cc?
Did Silverstone GP circuit 2 years ago on GSXR600, don't really fancy doing that on a 400, track too quick to keep with the pace of big bikes!!
I'd like to do another day where I can at least keep with the pace and pass on the bends!!!

i've tried to organise track days for zxr4000 owners but no-one seems interested? personally you wouldn't get me on a track day but i'm happy to organise it.
might be worth speaking to sloweracing i'm sure si will help?

Lydden race circuit down near Dover is good for 400's, a mate of mine who used to race in yamaha past masters said its ideal for smaller bikes.
I think it was the cost that put people off last year. Thing is, even if you dont use the circuit, its free to spectate.

What sort of costs do people consider to be reasonable?
The track day I did on the GSXR, well track evening, was £40ish with focused events.
I managed 3 x 20 mins sessions for that, which equalled well over a tank of petrol. Friend took a spare gallon of fuel for me in his van!
Plus I got to go round the full GP circuit at Silverstone.
Here's a list of their organised days/evenings with remain places and price....

I'd be well up for an evening event. If anyone is interested, as I know some were from the post's last year, I'm sure we could sort something out.
At least with other 400's on track we're not gonna be blitzed all day/night long by the bigger bikes.
If there's enough interest I will also get in touch with Focused Events and see if they've got any advice regarding most suitable track and possible discout for group booking!!

Well at the time when we looked at prices on the tracks website, we were looking at over £200. But if that can be done for £40 thats much easier to swallow.

I think the other problem was location, we always say somewhere central to everybody, but we had all had our own idea of central. What track came top in the end?

Well the cheapest with Focused events are:
Cadwell Park, evening, £45.
The track looks good, but is in the middle of nowhere
track :
http://www.focusedevents.com/circuits/caldwell_park.asp
Location:
http://www.multimap.com/map/browse.cgi? ... =6&out.y=5
Next:
Snetterton, evening, £45.
Track doesn't appeal like Cadwell, again not the most accessable
track:
http://www.focusedevents.com/circuits/snetterton.asp
Location:
http://www.multimap.com/map/browse.cgi? ... 6&out.y=12
Next:
BRANDS HATCH, evening, £69.
Track, what more do you want, very accessable (unless your from up north)
Track:
http://www.focusedevents.com/circuits/brandshatch.asp
Location:
http://www.multimap.com/map/browse.cgi? ... le=2000000
These are just 3 (all being evening events) of what Focused events offer. Personally, I would love to do Brands, and at that price, me thinks I will be booking an evening session there no matter.
As I said earlier, if anyone else is interested, we can get a thread going to tie down dates, see about discounts (if sufficient numbers) and get a track day/evening up and running
