I dropped It

Ok... Wet conditions, roundabout need i say any more.

The front wheel went from under me but Fortunately i gracefully slid 110yrds into the kerb and hopped up into the long grass. No one was there to see but as i was trying to pick the bike up a police car drove right past!! :smt017 i didnt even get a "you ok mate?"!!!!

I'd love to say there was oil or diesel on the road but that would just be my pride saying that, it was slippy but it was wet and i should of known better!

Happened on monday night and i have already replaced the mirror, brake lever and indicator. Unfortunately i need a new end can as mine is dented and the hanger is a bit bent and i need to get the fairing resprayed on one side as its got some substaitial scratches (if i leave it i'll just look like a nutter!! and it'll bug me! :smt013 ). No cracks or splinters on it though!
I now have to ride to the gp on a scuffed bike, but at least i'm riding to the gp and at least im still in one peice. just a dented ego, gotta learn from these things though!!

anyone know where i can get a replacement micron can at a reasonable price?

bad luck mate.

i very nearly did the same on friday night - got stuck at work till half eleven at night, just wanted to get home. cold tyres and damp road, and a roundabout which is shellgripped but big patches of it have worn away. (beeston end of university boulevard for the benefit of the nottingham crowd)

bit too much speed/lean and the front folded as I ran onto one of the none-shellgripped bits. proper foot down oh toad moment, but fortunately it gripped again before i fell over.

would have been in serious trouble with the other half as well as it was on her bike (GPz).

glad to hear there's no damage to you and only minor stuff on the bike.

Unlucky mate, credit to you for putting your hand up and saying it was your own fault. Just try not to let it knock your confidence, i take it you rode it home? Thats usually the best thing to do if you can.

Yeh, i've been back on it. My arm was pretty sore from the impact so i'm not going to ride it till friday i think now!

Then again i might of been ok until i went to see ozzy osbourne and black label society last night. Front and centre is bad enough with normal limbs, i think i've just added to the bruising now! haha these things just have to be done though!!

**edit** btw my spada leathers didnt even scuff!! bloody brilliant they are, i'd reccomend them! Now i've tested them for you all, hopefully i can stay on the bike now. The lengths i go to for you all eh?? :smt002 haha

you measured your fuel consumption while sliding down the road?

on the assumption you meant mph, isn't your crash getting faster each time you tell it?

I nealy had an accident this mornin, first real emergancy stop iv had to perform done a full endo as well so i have more confidence in the brakes but less in other drivers. goin round an island an some teizzle dick went round the island on the outside i thought he was takin the same exit as me cos he cut someone up bad in the outside lane i then realised he werent actually gona do that so it was one of them NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO moments

oh an to make me more angry he didnt even notice he stopped a whole island in his wake an drove on oblivious to all the other people on the road

Those are the ones which deserve to lose wing mirrors, and often a dent in their passenger side door. It's worth changing your route to chase them down. If they make you poo yourself, they deserve punishment. :)

Tell me about it i was tempted to follow an punch the fkers window in, but i would just loose my temper to much plus it was my fault slightly for assuming the tit would have done the correct thing at the island. but yea they should loose mirrors and there licence in my book.
