hey guys, can anyone let me know how they grade the thickness, for example b and q sell blank backing wallpaper, graded like 800 1000 1200, is it like sandpaper grading where the lower number would be thicker ?, any info on this much appreciated, cheers

a)lining paper
b)woodchip
c)plain paper
d)embossed paper

thats all you need to know.

vinyl paper is plain paper mate it come coloured or patterened or you get the blown vinyl which comes under the heading of embossed papers, you also get wallpaper which comes in a tin its called paint!

you forgot to mention wallpaper paste !

when did you get a sex change? only other person i know to go into this sort of detail on wallpaper is my gran

you asked about paper, if you just use paste it'll just make your walls sticky and it don't give a nice finish you will still see blemishes under the paste so its best to cover the paste with paper, please see my first thread if its getting confusing, also paint only comes in colours not patterned.

what makes me laugh is all the guys reading this thinking thereeeee sooo greatt, bet you dont know the answer do ya DO YA ! thats why your sat that googling the words " Wallpaper grading " just so you can come back and be all smart !,

Google just received a couple more hits than usuall today lol

anyone with half a brain would just look on B&Qs site http://www.diy.com/diy/jsp/bq/templates ... ftnav=true but not even they are brave enough to list what the grades mean.

Oh and anyone checking off the checklist where the hell you gonna get a steam roller from? transport museum?
