Not on my bike just now!

From another forum that I am a member of,
Had a bit of an accident on late Friday morning at work.
I have been tiling a kitchen floor and now down to the last dozen or so tiles to be cut.
Got down to the 2nd last tile to be done and the angle grinder with a diamond disc cutter in it "snatched" and got kicked out of my hands - I naturally pulled away my hands and waited for the shattered pieces of disc as it hit the ground to go flying. Diamond disc's are steel and don't shatter instead they bounce, right into the inside left ankle on my foot and preceded to cut my balance tendon![]()
Wish I had a mobile camera - not to phone the ambulance, as I didn't know the address of the house but to take the extreme "Gore" images I was seeing.
My sandals filled with thick dark red blood so i knew it was a Vein and not Artery hit. After hobbling down stairs then up hill to the next door neighbour (not in ) then up more stairs to the next neighbour (not in) then downhill and round a bend and up more stairs I finally managed to find someone to call an Ambulance for me![]()

By this time 25mins had past and I was starting to see spots in my vision and was near on passing out. The faint sound of sirens gave me something to focus on and I managed to keep with it - daytime temp was 30c and I was feeling it![]()
Hospitals are hospitals except this one had nubile Japanese girls in uniforms  :eyebrow: and the A&E was straight in the doors from the Ambulance. They tried doing the operation under local but every time they touched my tendon I threatened them followed by muchso they decided to put me out - sleeping not General.
So I am just home - Saturday 3.30pm and thought I would show you all this![]()
Will be in a cast for 6 weeks and a hopefully full recovery within 12.
If the tendon doesn't repair well I could end up with a severe walking disability as it controls your balance which would make walking uneven surfaces with out a stick of some sort impossible.
The bike is another consideration if it goes "tit's up" as I would need to dismount on the right side every time - possible but 26yrs of programing guarantees that at some point my left leg will go down to support the bike![]()
But this is worse case scenario and so far the surgeons are happy that the wound isn't infectedI will be doing everything by the book to ensure a speedy recovery.
Hope you not eating just now
Sorry, but parts need to be put on hold just now - i will try and get the current orders sent out.
Mori!
