well, they just failed my RS on an mot, which is fair enough.
but i got there to find my bike leaning against the wall, so i immediately have a look at the side stand to see if there is a problem only to find when the side stand is used it bends right out.
when confronted about this they deny all knowledge of this, and eventually agree to repair it after arguing with them.
he also says that it wouldnt start, so i simply state that i have never had starting problems and that it started fine when i took it to them, then they start accusing me of calling them liars.
through out this it felt as if they were talking down to us because i am 17 on l plates and i had my mum with me.

so know i'm waiting for them to repair it, which they say will take ~45min to weld one small bit of metal.

if anyone in this area is thinking about using them, think again.

ok, my rant over :smt013

hi, dont worry about it, you and learn ive been in them situations, last one 6 months ago or so, the dealers just end up ripping you off, and not to mention the 200 quid service cost, dont worry matey take it as a learning curve get your bike back as soon as possible and just simple dont go back there,

would have done it while inspecting the wheel bearins ect they lift the bike up onto the side stand so the wheel is in the air, while at it they prob killed the side stand switch so might be why its not starting

If thats the condition they gave it back to you i sure wouldnt let them fix it! I would either do it my self or take it to somewhere i trust and as mentioned, wouldnt go back.

i dont think they did anything dodgy MOT wise, only broke the back of the stand and ran the battery flat, started fine bumb starting, rode it round the block to charge it up a bit and it was fine :smt012

anyone know what angle the head light it ment to be?

you can report dodgy test centres.

I always hang around for my MOT - if they wont do it whilst I wait, I take it else where. I also always take it with an *almost* empty tank of fuel for the exact reason about people riding it around - on another note, I took my car to MOT once whilst it was on reserve - it came back with more fuel in it than it went :P
head light angle - so it doesnt blind people and lights up a reasonable amount of the road - wait until it is dark and shine your headlights up against a garage wall or somthing, should be easy enough to see if they are too high.
