The law's not changing until OCTOBER 2008, so you have plenty of time next summer to do a DAS course. (Tho I bet it'll be busy with people getting it in before the changes...)

I'm in the middle of one right now, did my CBT on a GS500 yesterday, have today and tomorrow riding round Salisbury, then wednesday morning refresher followed by test.

It cost me about £650 including all fees and bike hire.

nope you have to do your CBT on a 125, but if you got your car licence before 98 or somthing then you dont need a CBT

You definately can do your CBT on something bigger than a 125 because I definately did do it on a GS500.
You can ride a bigger bike on the road as long as you are over 21 and accompanied by an instructor in radio contact.

yea but i thought the whole idea of the CBT was basic training for someone who hadn't ridden. cos i done mine on a 125 then moved on to a gs500. they wouldnt just let me straight on the 500 n i was 23?

I have done a cbt before, but 5 years ago. plus i have ridden off road quite a bit, so they let me take it on a 500. It is definitely allowed, but only if you have enough experience on bikes...

reading about it cant see anything to say you cant use a 500cc, guess every training school will get you doing it on a 125 for safty then!

yea its gota be a safety thing cos the 500 is bags faster than a 125. but if you have ridden before they were probly ok with it.
