Friday morning on my way to work, there was a huge traffic jam on my usual road, leading up to an island.

I was filtering to the side of the cars down to the island, when some Twatbag suddenly powered out of the stationary traffic about 10 yards in front of me!

I had no chance - I locked the brakes up for all the good it would do, and next thing I knew I was sliding down the road on my back.

That was actually quite fun - but unfortunately my Shoei lid was getting ground away, and so that spoilt the enjoyment for me because I love that helmet!

My bike hit the sill below his drivers door, and bugger knows how I missed the car?! If I did...

Anyway, the bike is trashed all on the right hand side (including my Scorpion can!), as are my leathers and rucksack.

He gave me a lift home (good job I didn't hit the twatbag harder!), then I went to the hospital later on when the adrenaline wore off and the pain hit!

Every part of my body kills, my right leg hardly moves (just muscle damage and nothing serious, I don't think) but I'm pretty sure I've broken a couple of ribs...

So now it will be down to the insurance. Hopefully he'll admit liability and it will all go smoothly...

i've got some cable ties at work mate if you need any?? all that lovely paintwork shagged now??

Ironically, the only bits left hanging on were the bits I'd duct-taped!

I'm hoping to get the same model but with less mileage on it (that shouldn't be hard!).

most important thing is your ok! besides im sure the insurance will pay out more than that thing was worth

Three weeks ago I'd have been laughing - but since then I've spent about £600 on the bike, so I'm gonna lose out! :smt013

All going smoothly so far, and I'm getting a Bandit 650 delivered tomorrow from them while they sort the claim out!

Not bad considering I'm only 3rd F&F!

And they've said they're not cancelling my policy, and if I buy another bike I can just swap it over!

There's a chance it'll be the 600, but she said she'd try and get the 650 for me!

Of course - I did try and get a CBR600 (or anything vaguely sporty), but it seems they only do boring bikes...

At least I won't have to bum lifts and pay for taxi's though!

they should cover all taxi costs ect as its a cost from the acident, also you should be able to claim for all your damaged gear, after all that an extra £900 odd easly..

say you have trouble sleeping, and have nightmares of the crash, that will get you a nice bit of compo!
