I know I'm quite elusive of late, but I have been trekking about the south coast on my CRM250, but what is with this rain? I mean, come on, I have a new ZX6R in the garage just screaming to come out to play when the sun comes out.

IF the sun comes out.

Anyone up for a trackday this year? April-time ish?

Anyone? Donington park, I suggest.

I want to do a trackday this year, but I think I'll be looking at one where I use their bikes!

There's not much point doing one on a VFR750 because I'd be at the bikes limit within a few laps!

If I've got a big fat pay rise and bought something with more ground clearance, then I'll probably use that, but as things look at present I'll be wanting to do one of the trackdays where they supply a sparkly new R6 or CBR600 or something...

That's a bit harsh. Not everyone's got your natural god-like riding ability, and you're not going to learn if you don't have a go.

sorry your right that is unfair, theres some really foolish people out there that have brought bikes completly unsuitable to there skill level. Somthing less peaky power in power and softer steering will do them a world of good

and most people have a sense of self preservation this time of year - the roads are SLIPPY.
So just because you can chuck an off road bike around in conditions that it is made for, dont belittle other people just because they are taking it easy.
And, just to point out, your CRM weighs considerably less than most sports bikes, and is easy to chuck around.

belive me there is next to 0 grip in off road tyers, you get far far more on road tyers. Even the M1's that i've got on the zxr. Not to mention next to no lean angle as theres no rubber on the edges of the tyers

Im still riding the zxr as well and still enouth grip to out ride a 250 with off road tyers on anyday, and that bike is a hole load heavyer than a cbr600rr. I rode into work on the zxr the other day (left it infront my my mum's car so though i might as well ride it) and i've now got about half a inch to a inch strip on the rear tyer (front is bigger as M1's arnt the best tyers to push hard in the cold/wet conditons).

It dosnt even have to be winter, you see just as many riders in summer riding there zx10r that they brought after they passed there DAS a day before with chiken strips 5 inch on each side of the tyers. Im not saying im a riding god just that alot of people buy a bike that isnt suitable to there skill level and insted of scaring there selfs on bikes to powerfull and agressive for them they should get somthing far smaller and learn how to ride it properly and work there way up.

at the end of the day, so long as bikers ride safely, who cares if the bike they own requires better riding skills than the owner can give

so long as the bike makes them just as happy riding it at 50mph as it could 200mph

for me, biking is an experience to be enjoyed at all levels, and so long as my experience doesnt affect or endanger anothers, then thats biking to me
