Ich, turning left at a roundabout with a pillion, next thing we know we're sliding down the road. Looked back to find the road was covered in gravel Rolling Eyes I'm an idiot for not noticing it, especially since I knew the road had recently been worked on.

I got away with a grazed knee (I've hurt myself more tripping over), passenger got a bit more severe grazing but was ok. Just glad it wasn't the girlfriend on the back

Bike got away fairly lightly with scratched but not cracked fairings, snapped clutch lever, and its leaking oil

Now I've got two weeks off, with the weather getting nice finally, and no bloody bike!

Oh and cheers to the guys on the R1 and CBR that stopped to see if we were ok, and to the guy on the Guzzi :)

Oh and thanks to the 10+ cars who watched me sliding down the road and didn't even think to stop to see if we were ok

Unlucky fella, but these things happen! What round about were you on? i nearly came off on the roundabout at 15a going towards sixfeilds. Was about to get my knee down to find that there was a huge bump in the road from were they've decided to pull up the tarmac again. Got away with a little tank slapper and cutting up a few cars :D

Unlucky mate, cars never stop, too busy concerned with getting somewhere then who's in the middle of the road!

Sounds like all you need is a new lever and genny cover, so surely you wont be off the road that long?

Yeah that same roundabout Rene, and yeah I've been over that bump soo many times this week in my mates cars and each time I've thought "ouch that would hurt on the bike". Ich horrible roundabout, wish they'd just left it alone :P

Yeah shouldn't be too long Redex, just struggling to find a cover at the moment. Got the lever ready though
