Went and saw a sv650s today that totally stole my soal lol
so I'm gunna be selling the zxr, it's advertised in the forsale section but I'm putting a deposit down tomorrow so it needs to go before the end of the week,
I've advertised it for £1400 everywhere but I am willing to take less, I'd take £1100ono for it without the spare engine and if you want the spare engine... make me an offer. I'm getting more desprite to sell, not coz of the zxr just because I want the sv so much. If you look at my past threads and posts you will see that the bike has been well looked after by me and had alot of work done to it including an 8000mile engine fitted, it's just not what I want from a bike anymore though.
Many thanks
Dan

Top speed and handeling isnt everything, if your crunching big motorway miles, commuting to work ect the extra commfort and less maintence is very much worth it. Bikes dont have to be max performace all the time!
Besides go watch a mini twins race and tell me the SV is rubish..

o sugar I totally forgot about that robb.. I'll send it when my auction of guitar bits goes.
Thing is my riding is mainly pillion based with the odd 150mile+ motorway trip along with comuting 16 miles a day to college. the sv is better suited to all of that, if I could afford to keep the zxr I would as it's a great bike but I just can't unfortunately.
cheers

Well, yes... but the ZXR400 has a higher top speed than an SV650 - so at any given speed (in theory) the engine will be working to a lower capacity of it's maximum.
Twins are all about torque - so when it comes to top end work on a low capacity bike, an IL4 will whup a twins ass.
Unless an SV650 is in a lower state of tune...
I guess it all depends on what speed you're planning on cruising at.

If you listen to most mags, the pillion position on the SV is better than the ZXR. Certainly from a feet-up-under-your-armpits point of view it is.
Strangely, though, most pillions of mine have said they much preferred the ZXR400 because they sat up higher and could see more!
