Just a random hello

Hello all. I know I haven't been here for a while but thats coz I've been hard at work with college doing my level 2 in motorcycle maintenance and repair. And the course is almost over! Wohoo!! I have done all the online tests and have 3 distinctions and 2 merits which I'm pretty proud of.

Still haven't done my 33 brake test but thats okay because I'm 21 in July and my mum has promised to pay for my DAS instead. Uh-oh scary thought of me on a fully powered bike but yeah oh well. Main reason for not doing my test is the fact I had a sub-total thyroidectomy on 11th Feb and am still having problems with my neck muscles. And yes I'm only 20 and already had part of me robbed by those nasty people at the hospital....yeah I know their lovely really but I think they're never going to let me back again after the amount of a pain in the a$$ I was whilst in hospital...

Now you can also all shout at me because I have been looking at various bikes and now instead of having my heart set on a ZXR400 I'm going more for something like a Honda Hornet. Why you might ask but main reason is I have the more faired version of the Suzuki En-125 and so far it has cost me £100 to replace just one bit of fairing on it. And seems as I'm prone to doing silly things....like dropping my bike I don't think I could afford the arm and the leg everytime I drop the ZXR. Especially as I have checked out replacement fairings for the ZXR400 L9 and they seem to range from about £100-£600 depending if your looking for single parts or full sets.

So yeah I dont mind if you all shout at me now and call me a traitor. Also from sitting on the Hornet and the ZXR I believe that the Hornet will be a better riding position for me as I have multiple problems with back and hurting it. Maybe sometime in the future.....when I'm rich (I wish) I may get myself a lil ZXR400...or so I hope.

Anyway ta ta for now everyone but thought I would give you all a quick update and a quick hello and goodbye.

hornets arnt boring, they've got a down tuned (only lightly tho) cbr600 engine in them so there not slow at all. Down geared they just wheelie everywere. Very popular stunt bikes!
