Paddock Stand Bobbin sizes??

I was talking to my friends as we went Karting this evening, and it turns out Rob has a paddock stand he'll sell me for £15. One of my other friends then turns round and says 'you better check what size it is'.
I had no idea there were different sizes, though I suppose upon reflection, it seems logical.
What sizes should I be looking for for an L4?

I thought most of them are adjustable (in both height and width). If looking for a rear, I'd look for the 'bobbin' type as the flat ones are a pain to do on your own unless you're pretty nifty with em.
I have the flat type and it's a pain, particularly when the bikes on the stand. It has to be set quite narrow which means it's a pain to get round the chain and rear caliper/torsion bar.

Definitely getting the bobbin type over summer. They are so good for oiling the chain etc.

I was feeling the same, I figured it'd probably be a bit of a job with flats, so I was going to get a set of hooks anyway, I can pick up a set to go on the top of the stand. Job done! It is adjustable, too, so I've no idea what Pat was on about with different sizes.

Altering this post slightly, what size of bolt will I be looking for when I get the bobbins? M6, 8, 10, or 12?
My guess would be a 10, as that's a fairly common bolt size for something fairly substantial, but I wait to be told otherwise...

m12 1.25 thread pitch. will also need a 25mm spacer/washer for the left side of the bike.

i got the bobs but the paddock stands are normally adjustable you can sort of slide them appart which is abit of a pain to get on but onece you have the nack. my paddock fits my ZXR and my CBR which is higher and wider. i got R&G bobbins for my CBR cos they act as a frame saver an all so you get the best of both worlds.

That's the plan, Soop. Demontweeks at the very least, gives different bolt size options though, so I thought it best to clarify.

And thankee, Rich, concise!

i bought some of them r+g bobbins and they where a giraffe to fit, i had to get my own bolts cuz some bellend fecked up the threads and i couldnt use the daft, bolt goes into bolt into another bolt that r+g had sent me, i got the on and then i tried my micron padock stand and it was a squeeze to get it on the stand and the bobbins got all scratched -- :smt010 . then i was undoin the wheel nut to adjust the chain and it was tight....and the bike fell off of one side and scratched the unscratched side of the swingarm. :smt010 again.

i learned the hard way -- check it all before you do nething or youll be :smt010 again.

gd look.

it mite be an idea to buy matching paddock stands and bobbings.

Again, that's the plan, Kermit, though that is also price dependant, the price for the R&G Bobbins as listed on Demontweeks was iirc £39 through to £224, and it listed the 6R and the 12R but not the 400, anyone know if the fittings are the same for others - i.e: could I feasibly simply order them as listed for another bike and have them fit?

brought some R+G ones for my TL, right fitting but the bolts have the wrong thread on them so wont screw into the swing arm!

Ended up just scewing in 2 bolts i had so i could at least get the wheel out!

i got mine straight from cradley kawasaki, i payed 75squid for crash mushrooms and the paddock stand bobbins, M12 with a 1.25 pitch thread is the size. cradley got them direct from r+g dont just by anything cuz its a small thread for the size of bolt needed - kawasaki cleverness once again.lol.

i get a discount aswell cuz my dad bought a bike from them so i would av thought the price was more like 100squid.
