Alternative steering methods.

Years ago, around the late eighties/early nineties I can remember seeing a bike that didn't have handlebars, but had stick like tank controls instead. For some reason(probably cos I'm bored)it just popped into my head. I googled every possible combination of "alternative steering" etc, but to no avail. I was sure this bike was called a Quasar, but the internet tells me this is some kind of two wheeled car.
I may have dreamt this fantastical contraption, or may have hallucinated it, having spent much of my early life very spanked, although I'm sure it is all true.

Anyone?

If you think this is quiet, have a look at the West Country section. Boy.

Was it one of those feet-forward type bikes?

FSJ or something? Wouldn't surprise me if they have something like that for steering...

Bum holes. I just spent 10 minutes wording the funniest and wittiest post, then somehow managed to delete it.
Anyway, I do remember the bike and will make it my lifes work proving it exists.
The steering was like two joysticks and the bikes looked like the bikes on Battlestar Galactica(the series) (the first series).
Come to think of it, that may have been where I saw it.

i'll get me coat and my hat.
