not sure, if the plugs fit, it will work IF the ignition rotor is also the same as the L .. there are 2 different ignition rotors and they must match the CDI or the timing is way off.

EDIT: sod it, give me an hour or three and i'll check for you, ive got an H1 and a spare L cdi.. but fitting my forks/tyres/exhaust etc comes first as ive just got a place on a track-day ... err .. tomorrow .. lol

ok, tried my L cdi on the H1, nothing .. wouldnt fire at all

box i tried is the original one off rover220's bike (l4 import) so i know its a good one, i only took it off to fit a uk one (rover220's bike used to be mine)

stand by what i said regarding rotors though.. get an L model ignition rotor and it should all be fine, the loom etc is the same, as are the plugs.

whip off the cover and have a look at your rotor and compare to the pics in the manual, or post a piccy of it here and i'll do my best to tell you which it is. Spec can be a bit hit and miss with H1's as so many of them have had replacement engines at some point.

LOL baz ...

this is the ignition rotor..

and the other type..

whichever you've got you need the other one, ie, one that matches the cdi

Erm...not to throw a spanner in zimm's reasoning, but...

I have a UK L3 bike, the original motor for which has the top sort of rotor. I've got an H1 motor in there at the moment with the bottom type of rotor.

It works fine with the L3 CDI and loom.

now im just plain confused lol.
for now, i think i will swap back to a kmph clock,to remove the limiter, and the de restrict the clock.

would a restricted jap cdi affect the fueling in general, as its on a " get u home setting?"

maybe it is a loom thing then, ive never tried swapping stuff about on an L other than fitting a uk cdi in-place of an import one.

L4 cdi def doesn't work on my h1 though, and whilst the plugs are identical there are less wires connected to the bigger of the two plugs, and correspondingly more pins on the L cdi.

apologies for being wrong on this, i'd always understood it to be a case of just matching the rotor to the CDI. vsad

in light of all of this, i think the easiest way to get your bike out of "limp home" mode and de-restricted is to fit kph clocks and one of these

mechanical kph-mph converter

or a de-restrictor box, but im now wary of saying wether they are L/H specific
