I,ve just read this on yahoo.
http://uk.news.yahoo.com/pressass/20080 ... 23e80.html
Not sure if you can click on it, but anyway, it's about possible fuel strikes with the main message being the goverment asking people not to "panic buy".
Now, I'm no psychologist, but as far as I'm concerned, asking people not to panic buy is a sure fire way of getting people to panic buy, i.e. "Mmmmmmm, I'll just nip out now just in case". I for one am off to fill my tank up now, whilst waving my arms and looking very panicked. Might take a gerry can too, just in case like.

pain in the ass strikes, i'd be happy if they were striking about the astronomical increases in fuel prices this year but they arn't. It's a pay dispute. wooofuknhoo
it's been a crap couple of years for the small business(i'm self employed), no one's spending which means i'm not getting paid like i should do plus my daily running costs are sky rocketing because i have to travel to my workshop and some lorry drivers are whining because they were declined a rise to £39,000 a year.
Well i have my lottery ticket so as soon as i win the big one i'm gonna head off where the weathers better, learn a second language fluently and spend my days in bliss with 15 strippers and a brewery.

f**k me, Baz. That's not good. It's just about topping 118.9 here atm. If it cranks up much higher, I'm gonna be killed by it, running the 'Tesse.

prices are all over the place atm, on todays 200 mile round trip i variously paid 1:13, 1:18 and 1:22..
it was diesel @ 1:38 that annoyed me ... i had to do 1600 miles in a turbo diesel sprinter !

if anything all this is going to do is sky rocket the prices of fuel for a few weeks and will never actually drop back to where it is now.
Problem for me is i only get 80 miles from a tank so need to fill up every day and a half, i have no choice but to panic buy!
