Diesel Spills On The Road!

Post by Jamz »

Who gives a damn?

I know about the Kill Spills campaign, and it's all very nice but totally useless.

I've read all the literature, but there is not a single mention of what you should do about a diesel spill - either one you made yourself or what to do if you spot one?!

HELP! Who do I tell?

Basically, this week there's been some kind of agricultural machinery-type show going on in Redditch this week. The approach to an island is soaked in diesel and mud and sharp stones etc, and I'm amazed nobody has come off there yet.

I'm also not entirely sure what the area is called? For locals, it's in the field in Bordesley, on the Alvechurch - Redditch road, and next to the small island that leads onto the Alvechurch Bypass towards j2 of the M42.

I'll check it hasn't all been washed away on my way home then do that.

I've also emailed my Not-Girlfriend because I think she works for the council who'll be responsible - see if she knows who to tell...

think you have to report it to the DOT or go on your local hub for your council there is a complaint form you fill in and they will look at it, done it acouple of times for the state of the overgrown paths and flooded underpasses i used to use when i cycle to work, gets cleared up in a few days from reporting it.
