Thought I would start the bike again to get it warm to see if the fan was now working and thought it would be a good idea to check the fuel level!
As I turned the key it snapped :wanker and I can't get it out now. I feel jinxed with this bike!!!

That won't work now! I've smashed the toad out of it with a screw driver after getting red mist!! :smt013

Managed to get the fuel cap off.....using a screwdriver, brute force and not a care in the world.
Seen a new one at Bitz for Bikes for £40 with keys. If I can't get one before or cheaper than that then that is what I will get!

A new ignition barrel from Busters is only £34 anyway, so if that's a bit shot as well, why not get a new barrel and fuel cap set?

Looks like I may have sourced second hand ones anyway.

Good stuff, Cass. Mayhap you'll get to go for a bit of a blast before the foul weather really kicks in, hm?

Bike is now in Nicks garage. He asked me what I wanted done and I told him get it to work properly
I have adjusted the chain, put the new tank cap on, new seat lock, new clutch cable and a few other bit's.
He is gonna do all the engine and get everything done like carbs, valves and shims etc. He will have it for 2 weeks to give it a good checking over. Can't wait to get it back and get it through that rev range
