Are these the rubbers for the carbs?

if funds allow then replace the o-rings, at the end of the day if you are replacing the rubbers then you must be able to afford the o-rings as well.

just checked the fiches and they are a seperate part, looks like youll have to get them seperately. You could just use sealant, blue hermatite does i think.

i've used sealant and the old O rings. Can't remember what its called, but its supposed to be oil and petrol proof. Revs still hang though once its warmed up. Can't think what else it'd be now.

well this is the problem i had with the zxr750 and i tried everything, it wasn't until i sold it that someone commented on a thread on here about altering the mixture screws so give that a go.

yep, only 2mm on each one, though they still seem to move about a lot (but i think that is just the new soft rubbers).
Fiddled with the mixtures no-end. Doesn't seem to make any difference. To the point I had each turned out about 3 - 3 1/2 turns and it still hung. Thing is, if you let the clutch out so it just bites, the revs drop back down to about 1300 and stay there. its not until you blip the throttle again that they will hang.
Runs fine when its cold, its only once it warms up, and its only at idle. No other flat spots through out the rev range. Just one of those annoying things I haven't been able to figure out!

Snagging cables? Are they well lubricated? Also make sure that the throttle returns fully by checking it stops against the throttle stop. Worth giving the carb springs a bit of oil too id say.

Tried all that rob,
Bar getting new cables, they are well lubed, hit both stops freely, plus if you remove the cables and just move the throttle on the carbs by hand it still does it. The carbs have been sprayed repeatedly with carb cleaner and oiled, so i don't think that would help (plus exactly the same even with different set of carbs). Thing is, it does it airbox on or not, and when its hanging i have physically pushed on the carbs, throttle stops, made sure the choke is fully in etc etc and they all make no difference.
The only differences I ever get (having replaced the head gasket, timing chain, new set of carbs, air filter, inlet rubbers etc etc) are higher up the revs i.e. elimination of flat spots and with the replacement if the timing chain (timing is now spot on) and better drive. But no matter how much better it gets throught the rev range I still always have this hanging. Yet as soon as you ask someone they immediately say air leak or mixture. Stumped mate
