Is there another name for Micrometer?

Can't seem to find one doing a search on Halfrauds...

a micrometer is the standard term for a tool to measure something of a small size. i.e. feeler gauges are micrometers.
Need a little more info on what you are wanting to do with your "micrometer".
I suspect you want some vernier calipers though.

Ah i was looking for those small C shaped ones...halfords only has the expensive vernier caliper ones, well per the website.

I picked up a set of vernier calipers, exactly the same ones as halfords sell for 8.99 from ebay buy it now

well see if the wife see a package come she knows it's for the bike. it doesn't matter if it's something useful it's still a waste of money in her eyes. so that's why it's safer to buy local...
