They've been slow catching up with all the car ones, but for those who don't know, they are now well worth checking for your bike insurance!

www.moneysavingexpert.com gives you the links to the latest and best ones.

For the record, my cheapest quotes this year were from Carole Nash yet again for approx. £150 3rd F&F or £350 fully comp.

Using these comparison sites I found a quote from Simply Insurance fully comp for £190!!!

I bit there hands off, and now have my first every fully comp policy! :smt003

Yeah, I can't remember which one I used, but I wound up accepting a quote of £185 from MCE this year. Not bad.

There was one that gave a year Legal cover for free just for doing a search, too.

That could save you a £25 optional extra, for what it's worth...

try www.thebikeinsurer.com

I got my 2007 ZX6R for £170 fully comp
my CRM250 for £75 TPFT (sold it though :smt010 )
and my 2009 ER6N was £89 fully comp.

And the excesses are only £250 too.
Direct Choice I ended up with as not quite the cheapest, but the excesses were lower, and thye understood what I meant by a private driveway off the road.

Pretty quick too.

Carole Nash has always been wayyyy too expensive for me.

And multi-bike policies for my 2 bikes are something like £600 for the pair with a £550 excess!!

Yeah, MCE offered that too I think, and the roadside assistance is something you actually can't remove from the policy - I tried, in order to get the cost down that little bit more.

Good stuff, despite me already being covered by GEM.

I use the bike insurer one too.

21y/o M, no NCB, garaged in a decent postcode

ZXR400H (Grey) from MCE TPFT is £230 including breakdown, legal and P.I which is pretty good considering id had my licence for about 10 days :) Also because my RS125 policy (£300?!?! same details as above) was 6 months in they took £158 of rebate off the insurance cost so I paid £80 :smt006 If I hadnt of organised the rebate in this way I would have only received £54 :rant
