Where to get vacuum cover screws?

Post by spoonaltap »

I'm stripping and cleaning my carbs but I want to replace these screws as they're quite rusty so does anyone know where to get replacements? Thanks

Cheers for getting back to me, had a quick look but couldn't see what I'm needing. It's like this so not a usual screw or nut.

you will also need a JIS screwdriver...no a phillips, not a pozi, not a frearson...a JIS screwdriver, unless you want to chew the heads up.

So I seen but I found a bit that fits pretty well and got most of the screws out of the carb, only the ones that were super rusty got chewed up so just had to grind a flat spot for a flat headed screw driver to get them off. Got the carb all stripped and I was just wondering if that website is the cheapest place to get parts from? Or should I phoned a kawasaki dealership or try my local motorbike place? Cos I need a few things like one of the needle jet holders broke in two and one of the needles looks a bit worse for wear but that little jet holder is £15 and the needle is £18 and I think that's a lot of money for what it is. Those screws are 2 quid each for gods sake lol.

Its a 20 year old bike...a kawasaki dealer is about the only place to buy bits. If you tell me what is stamped on yoir needle i might have one.

And fyi if i tell you to buy a jis screwdriver you can treat it as gospel that you need one.
