Carb problem

Post by Rubencio »

Hi Lads, need a bit of advise please.

The bike start at a touch of the bottom, form cold, if I put the choke completely.
What happen is that the Rev shut up to the red line.... If I reduce the choke, the bike turn off.

If I manage, by plying with the choke, to warm the bike up, it hold the idle well.
From the idle, if I open the throttle, it take about a second before revs up.

What could it be? I cleaned the carb, but the problem persists.

Cheers
Ruben

Your pilot jets control the idle.. They must be cleaned thru so you can see right thru.. Count mixture screw turns are not less than 1.5 or more than 2.5 turns OUT from lightly seated..

Check float height.. Def sounds like pilot jets. They unscrew with a flat and sit inside the casting..

Have you tried setting the idle? Black screw lower right side on carb #4
