carbs balancing pipes

you know the fuel pipes at the bottom of the carbs,one is connected to carb 1 & 4 the other to carb 2 & 3,on mine the longest pipe that goes goes to carb 1 & 4 has got a splitter thing and another pipe coming off it goin down,its also has a screw in the end of it!!!!! what the f***,is this normal?

Those are the vacuum pipes for the carb balancing. Sounds like there is a 'T' piece in there, only reason that it might have one is for a scottoiler, they use a 'T' piece to take a vacuum off for the valve.

yeah man thats what i mean.the pipe thats on the t piece should it have a screw in it?(blocked up ) or should it be open.

It supposed to be blocked up. Like i said the 'T' piece was probably for a scottoiler and they removed it. So instead of replacing the pipe they plugged it up with a screw.
