tube from airbox hanging close to the chain?

recently i have bought an zxr400l4 and have lots of work to do on it after taking of left side panel i have noticed the tube that comes out of the airbox just hanging quite close to the chain so logically thinkin it should be fastened somewhere could anybody help me out as im no bike mechanic so stuck a bit :)

Thats a drain pipe, mosture builds up inside the airbox and runs down into that pipe. You need to take the bung of the end from time to time to let the water out, youll probably find theres quite a bit in there, little bit of oil too youll probably find.

thank mate for the explanation so to make it short i can fasten it where i want most important is it will be facing downwards
to do its job :)

generally it goes down by the water pump, but its not accessible there, so leave mine hanging in front of the sprocket cover so i can empty it when i want to. I reckon its worse during the winter due to to the heat difference of the air coming in and the temperature of the airbox plastic, hence condensation.
