Radiator fluid level?

Im just wondering how you can tell what the radiator fluid level is? And when am i suppose to fill it up? I have plenty of fluid in my expantion chamber. But im also getting boiling water after about 20-25 miles and the temp gage rises up half way at steady riding of 60-70mph.
Any suggestions?
Cheers, michael.

You've already answered your own question
If the expansion tank has liquid in it when cold - and at the indicated correct level - then you have enough in the system.
The coolant will get very hot even during a very short ride - this is normal.
As long as the temp gauge doesn't go into the red without good reason - sat still for 30 mins with no fan running for instance - then all is well.
Hope that helps,
Steve.
EDIT - Just seen this - -

With the L model the radiator cap is underneath the fairing in-fill panel on the right hand side. Whip the cap off when cold and check, its normal for it to be a bit low as some will expand out through to the expansion bottle when it gets hot. The H model i believe it under the tank.
