If you wanna save some money and take the pin out then do that but be carfull not to damage the internals of the clocks. If you wanna play it safe and have your speedometer and odemeter reading in mph then buy the mechanical converter.

n because ill put that converter on the speedo will i have to put a resistor on the ecu as i can only rev to 12500 n will only do 125 mph ???

No you wont have to mess about with resistors. as your not actually changing the restriction system itself your just altering the speedo needle as it will never reach the activation zone for the restriction. If that makes sense :S. you should be able to rev it to the normal limiter and hit the 140 mph mark ;)

My bike only revs to 12500 in every gear even now ill be in top gear doing 10,000 revs doing 112mph no more ? n whats the point then of people paying for a uk ecu or m box like £40 for ecu or £80 for a m max box when u can just pay £25 n have it top speed. you still have to do something with the ecu cuz if i leave it as it is ill only do 12,500 if i derstrict it ill get 14,500 revs how will i do that then thx

whats a odemeter ?? n forgot to say my bikes a bit crap on acceleration feels juggy to start with could that be due to the overheating if it is the head gasket ? n do you know any one in kiddy area or 30 mile radius that can do my head gasket n thermostat NOT A SHOP to much money want a interdependent mechanic thats good but cheap thx

When you rev the bike in neutral the rev limiter kicks in at 12.5k revs?

If i was you id get it compression tested to see if it is the head gastket or not. You can pick up a compression tester kit for cheap
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PETROL-ENGINE ... 2a1be2bc06.

A compression test will help alot :)

Oh and odemeter is the milage counter
