Hi everyone, could someone please tell me where the bottom hose from the expansion bottle is meant to go on my ZXR 400 H1?? I bought it as it is, and can't for the life of me spot where it goes!!

it should go onto the rad, on the L model it slips onto a spigot just below the radiator cap.

On the H1 it goes underneath were you put the coolant in. Which blots onto the top of the frame near the coil packs.

Do you mean on the filler cap neck? I did look there, but just seems to be an over-flow pipe, with nowhere for the expansion tank pipe to go...

Yes on that filler cap there are 3 water pipes. One comes from the rad, one goes too the water pump and the thinner pipe goes to the expansion bottle.There is then another pipe on the expansion bottle which is the overflow which just dangles down the side of the bike.

Oh how random, at the moment I do have all the pipes you mention coming off the filler cap, but the thin pipe just hangs down the side like an over-flow/breather, I then have another thin pipe coming up from the bottom of the bottle, sittinh in the filler cap area, attached to nothing :-S

Just been out and had a tinker, perhaps the previous owner didn't think the bike had enough piping or something lol, the pipe I had coming off my filler cap has been slung to one side, and I've put the one coming up from the bottle in its place! Hopefully that's right! It'd certainly explain the occasional wet floor!!? Lol

Yeah hopefully, the bike is by no means road worthy enough to test yet, but seems ok so far!
