argg its just too hot

hi guy. i have recently purchased a 1992 l2 zxr400 and when i took it out for a good old fasioned spanking i came back VERY hot :smt013 .
so obviously i checked the the water pump, fine so i checked the thermostat and although damaged and stuck it was stuck in the open position so shud still allow water through so i just took it out, buts it stil running hot and also the radiator keeps emptying itself into the coolent overflow bottle.
so what im asking is does anybody have a clue as to what it can be apart from the head gasket becuase i what to eliminate everything else first before taking the top end apart?

all help wud be greatly apreciated, thanks guys

with out sounding like a plank but how would i go about unblocking the cooling sytem?

also if it is the head gasket is there a way of checking it without taking the bike apart like a coolent system pressure test?

not really, only way is to take it apart.

a compession test may show up something but its not a definate guide.

take the rad cap pff and start the bike, squeeze the coolant pipes a bit to help the flow, it will need to get hot to open the thermostat so watch you don't scald yaself!

i have sorted the water/heating problem, it was the headgasket.
it only took like 6 man hours and was even easier when my dad did it without me even asking haha
