				slight oil leak

				morning all. ive just bought my self a zxr 400 from a friend for a tidy some. im in the process of stripping it down the reabuilding it as its a non runner. all running now but ive got an oil leak coming from a machined hole just underneath the 4th cylinder header. any ideas what these holes are 4?

				im pretty sure they are the drainage holes for the spark plug wells so could be cam cover gasket leaking or spark plug well seals.

				its the gasket around the spark plug tube i had the same trouble sealed it up with sealant and no problem now

				No you don't need to take the head off
 only the top cover which does have a rubber gasket
Each spark plug reccess has a round seal at the top and an "o" ring seal at the bottom once you have the top cover off you and just pull the spark plug "tube" out to gain access to the bottom "o" ring.....................worth a try just useing some sealer rather than getting new "o" rings and seals

				i ment the rocker cover not the head sorry.

				took the engine out the other day. n i recon its the bottom seals that have gone. ordered them 2day and hoping itll be ready for the mot and good weather next week.
