I have been sent links to manuals and bought and downloaded manuals but none of them have been proper manuals just microfish rubbish thats basically just pictures. None of them have cam timing on them or any written instructions therefore by definition are not manuals but illistrations. I am doing the head gasket on the L5 which is easy enough except i dont have any details nor can i find any details on how to set up the timing in this bike. Does anyone know how? Can anyone send me a link to somewhere that has the instructions? Before i waste any more money buying another manual that has no instructions in it. Youe help is appreciated. Thanks

on the main site, the L manual is a supplement, you need chapter 4 (topend) of the H model manual (as in the link above)
main page for access to all the manuals (hosted on this site) is @

np
but its the same link cargo gave you before .. lol
just follow the destructions, they are a simple engine to work on as long as you are methodical.. and double check the timing before bolting it all up (ie rotate engine by hand with sparkplugs out stopping if there's any resistance and ensure that the marks line up correctly when they come back round).. i've done dozens and still dont always get it right first time due to the cams shifting as the retainers are torqued down. A worn camchain can complicate things as the stretch makes the cams look like they're slightly out (because they are)
