difference between L2 and L9

Hello, i need a new engine for my L9 ZXR and iv found a good L2 engine on ebay:

its done 26,000 miles and its and L2, will this fit in my L9 frame and will it run and perform the same,
if you hear of any L9 engines going please please please let me know as iv been off the road for a month and its been the LONGEST month of my life!

You'll be alright using the L2 engine.

Whats up with your original that it can't be repaired ?

That bike has had one hell of a bang on the front end - just mind the shock wave from impact travelled through the engine too !

had an oil leak and nackered the engine up, iv found an another engine what do you recon

Depends on how deep your pockets are but either one should be good - look in classifieds here as I am sure one of them is listed, save a bucket load of ebay fees for the seller.
